Romania’s Active Participation at the 2025 Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Between April 11–13, 2025, the city of Antalya, Turkey, hosted the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a major event organized under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
This year’s theme, „Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World,” reflected the urgent need for dialogue and cooperation in an international context marked by instability and geopolitical tensions.
The Forum brought together over 6,000 participants from 155 countries, including 21 heads of state and government, 64 ministers, and 61 representatives of international organizations, alongside diplomats, experts, academics, and opinion leaders.

Romania was represented by:

  • Simona Cojocaru, State Secretary within the Ministry of National Defense

  • Varol Amet, UDTTMR Member of the Romanian Parliament

  • H.E. Ștefan Tinca, Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Turkey

  • Cem Aksoy, President of MUSIAD Romania

  • George Scutaru, CEO of the New Strategy Center

Romania was actively involved in the panel titled „Black Sea Security from the Perspective of Littoral Allies,” held on April 12.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Emil Hurezeanu, spoke alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Georg Georgiev, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Zeki Levent Gümrükçü. The panel was moderated by George Scutaru, CEO of the New Strategy Center.

The discussions addressed key topics concerning the security of the Black Sea region, current geopolitical challenges, and cooperation among the littoral allies, against a backdrop of regional and global tensions.

Romania’s participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum reflects the country’s strong commitment to promoting regional security, strengthening bilateral relations, and supporting a stable and predictable international environment.
